If this does not work, a paper towel can be used to absorb some of the fat away.

Fresh fruits like avocados, bananas, pears, peaches, and apples may turn brown if left exposed to air. Dipping the fruit in a mixture of salt water and lemon will help to stop the fruit from browning. Cut fruits can also be dipped in pineapple juice for a similar effect. A small dip works well, so don't go dunking the fruit in the juice.

Put spices in a cold dark area to preserve their freshness and flavor. Warmer areas will cause your spices to lose flavor.

If it did melt, just put it in the freezer until it hardens a little bit, or you can refrigerate the mixed dough, as well. An added benefit to using cool dough is that your cookies will maintain their proper shape.

If you want a shell for double-baked potatoes or skins with additional firmness, try using a thick potato designed for baking. Red potatoes contain skins that are too thin to hold very much filling.

Dark green leafy vegetables are super nutritious, but preparing them is often frustrating and time consuming. One aspect that is tough is removing the stems. Make it easy by folding the leaf lengthwise in half and then break out the stem. You could also slice the stem off the folded leaf using a knife.
